Launch and Christening of Paolina Cosulich

On 26 June, our second small scale LNG carrier was launched at the CIMC SOE shipyard in China.

The christening was attended by Diana Mok – Managing Director of Fratelli Cosulich Bunkers Singapore Pte Ltd, as godmother, Pierpaolo Vinciguerra - General Manager of Fratelli Cosulich LNG and Manager Director of FRSU Toscana for ECOS, Silvia Bordoni – Head of Shipmanagement Department at Fratelli Cosulich Bunkers Singapore, Zhou Peng – Managing Director of Express CHITA Ltd, and the Captain Vincenzo Scotto.

The 5,300 tons DWT vessel can carry 8,000 m3 of LNG and 500 m3 of MGO and was named Paolina Cosulich. It will sail under the Italian flag, with Captain Vincenzo Scotto at the helm. 

The project, contributing to the process of decarbonisation of maritime transport, received a funding of 4 million euros from the European Union.
