Our Fleet Manager Silvia Bordoni at Commodity Trading Week APAC 2024

We are honoured to share that Silvia Bordoni, our Fleet Manager in Singapore, was a panelist at Commodity Trading Week APAC 2024!

The central topic of this panel was decarbonization and emissions reductions in shipping. The session mainly focused on the regulatory framework, technology developments and operational and commercial considerations.

It was a dynamic and interactive discussion where Silvia, together with very accomplished panelists from BHP, OSM Thome and RINA, had the chance to discuss not only alternative fuels, but also operational measures that can lead to GHG emissions reductions, such as shipping’s “just in time” approach.  

Besides designing and building efficient ships, panelists at Commodity Trading Week APAPC 2024 concluded that shipowners and operators should also aim to manage fleets efficiently. Most importantly, digitalization is a key enabler of this process.
