Launch and Christening of Alice Cosulich

On 22 March, the first of our two bunker tanker vessels was launched at the CIMC SOE shipyard in China.

The christening was attended by Giulia Cosulich - ESG Corporate Director of our Group, as godmother, Pierpaolo Vinciguerra - General Manager of Fratelli Cosulich LNG and Manager Director of FRSU Toscana for ECOS, Guido Cardullo - Head of Business Development for the Group's Marine Fuel and LNG sector, Emanuele Calcamuggi - Construction Site Manager, and the Captain Scotto.

The tanker, with 5,300 tons DWT and capable of transporting over 8,000 m3 of LNG and 500 m3 of MGO for bunkering, was named Alice Cosulich. It will sail under the Italian flag, with Captain Scotto at the helm. 

The project, contributing to the process of decarbonisation of maritime transport, received a funding of 4.5 million euros from the European Union.

The event was a moment of sharing and union between our Group and China, linked since the 1980s through the partnership with Cosco.
